Regenerative Thermal Oxidation Incinerator (RTO)
RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, abbreviated as RTO), Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer. The principle is to oxidize organic waste gases (VOCs) into corresponding oxides and water at high temperatures, thus purifying the waste gases and recovering the heat released during the decomposition of the waste gases. The efficiency of decomposition of the waste gases in the three-chamber RTO reaches more than 99%, and the efficiency of heat recovery reaches more than 95%. The main structure of catalytic combustion RTO consists of combustion chamber, heat storage chamber and switching valve. According to the actual needs of customers, choose different heat recovery methods and switching valve methods.
Working Principle
The RTO principle is to heat the organic waste gas to 760 degrees Celsius (depending on the composition) or more, so that the VOC in the waste gas in the oxidative decomposition into carbon dioxide and water. Oxidation of the resulting high-temperature gas flow through the ceramic heat storage body, so that the ceramic body heating and “heat storage”, this “heat storage” for the subsequent preheating of organic waste gas into. This “heat storage” is used to preheat the subsequent incoming organic exhaust gases, thus saving fuel consumption for heating the exhaust gases. Ceramic heat storage chamber should be divided into two (including two) or more, each heat storage chamber in turn through the heat storage – exothermic – cleaning and other procedures, week after week, continuous work. Heat storage room “exothermic” should be introduced immediately after the appropriate amount of clean air on the heat storage room for cleaning (to _ VOC removal rate of 98% or more), only to be cleaned up after the completion of the “heat storage” program. Otherwise, the residual VOCS will be discharged with the flue gas to the chimney, thus reducing the treatment efficiency.
- Heating organic waste gas to over 760°C, VOCs oxidize and decompose into carbon dioxide and water
- The high temperature gas generated by oxidization flows through the ceramic heat storage body, making the ceramic body heat up and “heat storage” heat recovery rate of ≈ 95%
- RTO design controls 3T, temperature, residence time, turbulence factor
On the basis of two-bed RTO products, after upgrading, two-bed RTO is now upgraded to multi-bed, rotary RTO, each has its own advantages and disadvantages, compared as follows:
Technical characteristics
